How to configure settings in your Metamask account

Take a moment to learn how to configure settings in your Metamask account. It may seem like a simple task to some but to others, it’s sort of a big deal.

To set up your wallet click here

Familiarising yourself with the settings comes in handy when you run into any issue with your account.

On the top right corner next to “Ethereum Mainnet” click on the account photo

The menu contains various options including, account name, notification setting e.t.c.

However, Note that your unique Ethereum address is right beneath the “Account 1” tag.

What is an Ethereum address?

You probably might be asking yourself what is an Ethereum address.

This is a random string of characters cognate to those of a bank account.

You will use the unique address while interacting with the Ethereum blockchain. That includes using it

in sites and exchanges while collecting receiving and sending tokens.

Despite the address being unique its still public though that is depending on its use via Etherscan

The publicity of one’s address doesn’t give anyone an advantage over someone’s wallet. Only the owner (the person with the password and the seed phrase) can be able to use the account.

Upon going through your wallet’s settings and ensuring you’ve set it to your preferences( currency conversion, primary currency, and language) then it will be much more easier for you to go about your account.

Then you can start using your wallet and interacting with your tokens

And that is how to configure settings in your Metamask account.
